Moonlight Launches First High-Resolution DSP-Based MPEG-2 CODEC Products at IFSEC 2003

Moonlights MPEG-2 DSP decoder and encoder products enable the surveillance industry to achieve real time, low latency full resolution video based on extremely flexible platforms.

Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) May 21, 2003 -- Moonlight, a leading provider of MPEG-2 and H.264 video CODEC technology, will feature its first commercially available DSP-based MPEG-2 CODEC products at IFSEC 2003.

During IFSEC, Moonlight will debut its embedded MPEG-2 software video CODECs on the TriMedia 1300 200Mhz and the Equator BSP-15 300Mhz platforms integrated into VideoDomain and Mavix products.
Moonlights CODECs are an inexpensive software solution with additional features especially defined for the surveillance market, including:

- Low Latency
- Very High Quality Video at Low Bit Rates
- Low Frame Rate Option
- Support of I Frame Only Recording at Full Resolution (640x480 NTSC/640x576 PAL), 2xHD1, and 4xCIF.

In addition to its new DSP encoding and decoding surveillance products, Moonlight will demonstrate its PC-based solutions, including its high quality, MPEG-2, real time D1 (or 3 channel HD1 or 6 channel CIF) encoder; high quality MPEG-2 real time, HDTV (1920x 1080) decoder; and high quality, H.264, real time D1 decoder.

Moonlight will be presenting its embedded CODEC demonstration at Video Domain (Hall 20, Stand P78), Mavix (Hall 6, Stand C75), and for private viewing at the Express by Holiday Inn at the NEC (North End).
