Sotopia Usability increases sales performance Map Your Mind web site

The redesign and optimisation of Map Your Minds web site, done by Sotopia, resulted in an increase of sales of software products and books of 12% compared with the previous year's first quarter.

In December 2002, Map Your Mind asked the Rotterdam based Usability consultancy -- Sotopia.com - to perform a usability review on its web site www.mapyourmind.com. The objective of the review was to point out the bad points of the web site provide concrete graphical solutions and apply them into a new design.

The redesign and optimisation of Map Your Minds web site resulted in an increase of sales of software products and books of 12% compared with the previous year's first quarter.

The usability research was performed on an Expert Review basis. And Expert Review is a detailed analysis of a web site performed by experts in usability.

Sotopia pointed out the most problematic points of the design (colour, page layout, text) and navigation (menu, search engines, etc).
