Carolina Stands Tall for Education
Burlington, NC (PRWEB) - At the annual North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE) membership meeting on April 10, George Ross, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Carolina Biological Supply Company, had the unique opportunity to meet with the states top education and government leaders.
Presentations were made by Governor Mike Easley, State Superintendent Mike Ward, and outgoing NCBCE Chair Krista Tillman. The meeting also featured a panel discussion about the role of business in education.
Carolina is committed to improving North Carolinas public education system-for the benefit of our employees children and for the economic well-being of our company and our state," Ross stated.
In the coming months, Carolina and NCBCE will be identifying and prioritizing areas where business can make a significant impact on the public education system. The 2 organizations will be providing updates on efforts to, collectively and individually, make a difference in the educational success of the youth in our state.
All the speakers made it clear that business has a vested interest in the quality of North Carolinas public education system-and that there is a lot of work to be done. As a member of NCBCE, Carolina Biological Supply Company is currently tackling the tremendous teacher shortage in North Carolina through NCBCEs Teach4NC campaign.
