Technology Pathways, LLC Releases ProDiscover® DFT version 2.1 with Network Agent
Coronado, CA -- May 21st 2003, Technology Pathways announced today the release of ProDiscover® DFT version 2.1 with network imaging and analysis agents. The newly added network imaging and analysis agent (PDServer) allows users to investigate computer misuse over any TCP/IP network in a least-intrusive" manor. A secure data channel is created between the ProDiscover® Client and PDServer using TwoFish 128 bit encryption to ensure evidence integrity. For investigations over a period of time PDServer can be installed on the suspect machine in Stealth Mode. ProDiscover® DFT is the first Windows based computer forensics suite to offer network imaging and analysis as a core product component.
When run from an incident response disk, ProDiscovers network agent can prove instrumental for corporate security teams in detecting and analyzing state-of-the-art Rootkits used by todays hackers. When installed on remote systems ProDiscovers network agent can be useful for HR department investigations as well as probation department compliance enforcement.
