SEARS AND HBC SEND MORE THAN 1000 RICKY MARTIN FANS TO SEE INVITE ONLY" L.A. CONCERT APPEARANCE
LOS ANGELES -- Sears, Roebuck and Co. and the Hispanic Broadcasting Co. (HBC) have teamed to give fans of popular Latin singer and heartthrob Ricky Martin something theyve been dreaming about for the last five years - a chance to see him live in concert.
In an exclusive, invite only" album release party at the Universal Amphitheater on Friday, May 23, Martin will debut songs from his new CD Almas del Silencio (Souls of Silence), his first Spanish-language effort since 1998.

Tickets were given away to fans through contest promotions at nine Sears Fiesta Mobile appearances in Southern California. Now in its seventh year, the Sears Fiesta Mobile program features two popular customized motor homes with multimedia capabilities that give visitors across the country a chance to play interactive games and win prizes as they learn more about Sears products and services.
HBC radio stations in 15 markets also gave fans a chance to win tickets. The markets included Albuquerque; Chicago; Dallas; El Paso; Fresno; Las Vegas; Houston; McAllen, Texas; Miami; New York; Phoenix; San Antonio; San Diego and San Francisco. Additionally, fans could win tickets at www.netmio.com, a network of Hispanic community-focused web sites owned by HBC.

One grand prizewinner in each of the 15 markets across the nation will win a VIP package consisting of transportation, hotel accommodations, two concert tickets and VIP backstage passes, a $100 Sears Gift Card, two copies of Martins new CD and concert T-shirts.
In addition, 10 grand prize winners from Southern California received ground transportation, two concert tickets and VIP backstage passes, a $100 Sears Gift Card, two copies of Martins new CD and concert T-shirts.
The Sears Fiesta Mobile Southern California grand prize winners are Alejandro Rodriguez, Araceli Ramirez, and Michelle Portillo of Los Angeles; Florencio Martinez of North Hollywood; Alejandro Aguilar of El Monte; Jaqueline Franco of Monterey Park; Hortencia Palafox of Rosemead; Luisa Sequiera of Whittier; Rosa Hernandez of Pacoima; and Saul Gaurdado of Fullerton.
