ListBay.ca Launches free E-Store service for businesses
E-Store Service provides free online store fronts and e-commerce enabled website to merchants in Canada and worldwide.
Get your free E-Store" is being displayed on www.ListBay.ca today. Using ListBay.cas proprietary E-Store technology, store-owners can get e-commerce enabled for free. The technology allows merchants to sign-up online for their account at http://www.listbay.ca/estore.
They are then given a username and password which allows them to login to a special control panel to add items to their inventory. The control panel allows the merchant to give each item its own description, image, price as well as shipping information. Each E-Store is accessible by its own URL - http://ListBay.ca/MyStore - where customers can go to buy goods and services online using their credit-card.
What is the catch? The E-Store Basic service allows for 10 items to be sold and each transaction costs the merchant 10% of the final sale value. Alternatively ListBay.ca provides an E-Store Premium service which offers *3.4% transaction costs, more listings, more customization and priority customer support. The default currency accepted is Canadian Dollars, although Premium users of the option of accepting Euros, Yen, U.S Dollars or Pounds Sterling.
A recent UCLA Internet Report indicated that 71.2 percent of users answered yes to the likelihood of online buying increasing over the coming year. We are entering an era where not accepting orders online will be akin to not accepting credit-cards at your store" said Ben Blakley, the CEO of Canfone.com which operates the ListBay.ca service. Jupiter Research reports that e-commerce transactions will amount to $105 billion U.S by year 2007. We are tapping into a growing number of small businesses who have websites and dont have the technical resources to sell online, or small speciality retailers who dont have a website at all and are looking for an efficient distribution channel" said Blakley.
