Arion Technologies Introduces Revolutionary Audio/Video Distribution System

The SAVI Stereo Audio and VGA Distribution System will revolutionize the way audio and video signals are transported for years to come.

Traditionally, transporting video and sound required costly and cumbersome installations of RGB coaxial cable and associated equipment.

SAVI provides the ability to transport a stereo sound source and high quality VGA video to a remote location up to 1000 feet from the transmitter. That relates to sending sound and a high quality video from the basement to the top floor of the Chrysler Building with one category 5, 5e, 6, 6e or 7 cable. The system requires no inline amplifiers or other additional equipment between the transmitter and receiver allowing the structured cable to be run wherever necessary. That makes installation quick, easy and extremely efficient.

SAVI can broadcast to multiple locations with equal simplicity. By using a combination of SAVI two port and 8 port distribution hubs the video and stereo audio can be broadcast to as many as 120 remote locations at distances of 1000 feet from the transmitter. Thats like distributing the audio and video signal to each of the 77 floors of the Chrysler building using one structured cable with room to spare.

Several companies, including Arion, have sold alternative products that allow VGA signals to be transported on Category 5 structured cable. The limiting factor with all those products was the requirement to use category 5 cable. To date, no one has addressed the inherent differences between various structured cables such as differing lengths of the red, blue, and green pairs or the differing twist ratios. While add-on products claim to solve some of those differences, no single product incorporated the technology to work with all types of structured cable.

Realizing that the industry was moving toward category 6, 6e and 7 Arion Technologies developed a system, which is included in both the SAVI and Kuvera product lines, to address the variations between all types of structured cable. U.S.C.I.T. Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology is a system that allows the end user to select skew delays on the green, red and/or blue pairs to compensate for the differing pair lengths. In addition, the end user can adjust both high and low band frequency gains to compensate for signal drop off inherent in virtually all cables. U.S.C.I.T. thus allows both SAVI and Kuvera to work on virtually any structured cable, category 5, 5e, 6, 6e and 7. U.S.C.I.T. allows Arion products to transmit video at resolutions of 1024 X 768 to 1000 feet, 1280 X 1024 to 500 feet and 1600 X 1200 to 250. In light of the technological advances in all three systems, patents have been applied for U.S.C.I.T., SAVI and Kuvera.

SAVI is the perfect solution for airports, retail stores, malls, theme parks, schools, financial trading floors and any other location with the need to transport high quality video and audio signals.

Acceptance of this new system has been tremendous" said Larry Thomas, Arion Sales Manager, we have daily inquiries about how to integrate the SAVI system into present and forecasted projects." SAVI is so practical and so versatile that it will fit into almost any project that requires the transport of audio and high quality video signals."

About Arion Technologies, Inc. Arion was founded in 1988, providing audio and video distribution products and services for financial trading floors. As technology evolved Arion became a leader developing remote video applications. Rather than to sell directly into the marketplace, Arion became a private label manufacturer. Arion products such as VideoNet and VueMax were sold under several names including MultiView-1000 and TV-Link respectively by Magenta Research.

Arion started branding its name and products in 2001. Direct sales began shortly after to an accepting marketplace. As the Arion name and its products became familiar to consultants, integrators and dealers, Arion found the need to fulfill their requirements for more highly sophisticated products. Thus, the advent of U.S.C.I.T. Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology, SAVI and Kuvera.
