NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) May 22, 2003 -- Today, MadWaves Corporation (London, Nice, Boston) announced the release of the third firmware upgrade for its award-winning product, the MadPlayer. The firmware upgrade, downloadable free of charge from the MadWaves web site, www.madwaves.com, will provide MadPlayer owners with brand new recording, composition, sampling, and embedding capabilities, plus two additional music lanes -- or tracks -- with which to create music. MadPlayer is a mass-market consumer electronic product that inspires and empowers anyone to make it with music, create and interact with their own beats, music, and songs. Operated by the Companys proprietary Generactive Music Technology, the MadPlayer generates unique, unlimited copyright-free music of exceptional sound quality users can play with, change, listen to and share with others.
One-Step, Real-Time Voice and Sound Recording Takes Technology to New Level.
This latest upgrade package takes MadTechnology to an entirely new level," said Voit Damevski, MadWaves CEO. We have been striving to make the MadPlayer an urban-centric product with which the aspiring rapper or producer can easily make songs using no other tool but the MadPlayer. This upgrade does it.
With the firmware change, the MadPlayer has become that easy-to-use product for the rap generation," said Damevski. Now any kid who wants to can, with a one-step process, press record during their performance and their voice and music will save onto the SmartMedia card, and they can transfer it onto their PC, burn their CD and make their album. Users will be able to initiate real-time recording sessions to capture their voice, add effects, samples and other customizations such as instrument lane volume changes, and more. Then, when they replay their MadSong, the changes they dropped into the flow will play back exactly where they inserted them, in real time."
Controlling Song Structure, More Lanes, CD-Quality Sound Transfer and More.
Other features added with the new upgrade package include firmware that allows users to control the structure of the songs they create, using the new e-DJ manual mode to pick what instruments play when, move back and forth between different instrument segments of the songs -- add samples and vocals and transfer the whole song digitally, right to their hard drive. And, with the addition of two more lanes to the music highway, the user can now have full interactivity with every musical aspect of the song. And, users can now play songs via the USB cable directly into the computer where they can capture the songs as WAV files that can be burned directly to CD or converted to MP3. This feature allows for completely digital transfer from MadPlayer to the computer for CD-quality sound transfer. It also eliminates the need for additional cabling and simplifies the transfer process.
The free, downloadable upgrade package also adds features that among other things, allow the user to: embed more information in their songs, including song title, author and copyright, if they are so inclined; record digital audio CD quality via the USB cable or directly onto the SmartMedia card; and, dynamically change sample quantization and loop period, EQ settings, through the use of a new floating menu. In addition, the new firmware enhances
MadPlayers capacity as a MIDI expander (synthesizer), provides new card formatting options, and delivers more variety in music composition.
This allows users much greater latitude in the creation of their songs, including when and how they capture the information," said Alain Georges, the French inventor of the technology. They can do it all on the bus, in the park, anywhere, come home and transfer the song directly into their computer via the USB as a .WAV file. This is a huge change -- one that our users had been asking for. In fact, many of the features weve added in this release are a direct result of development we undertook in response to requests from our user community."
