ANIMAX WINS TWO BELDING BOWLS, TWO SUMMITS AND TWO GOLDEN WEB AWARDS

Multiple Wins for Weaver Beaver and ANIMAX Websites

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 22, 2003 - Leading digital production studio ANIMAX was honored with two Belding Bowls in the interactive category by the Advertising Club of Los Angeles at the 37th annual Belding Awards (www.laadclub.com). ANIMAX also won several other prizes recently, including two Summit Creative Awards and two Golden Web Awards. All the awards honored client site Weaver Beaver (www.weaverbeaver.com) and ANIMAX's corporate website (www.animaxentertainment.com).

The Belding Awards is an annual advertising creative competition in Los Angeles that recognizes the best interactive, television, print, outdoor, radio and direct mail creative of the past year. Of the 900 entrants in the competition, only 46 Bowls were awarded. ANIMAX won two of the four Belding Bowls awarded in the interactive category.

The Weaver Beaver site (www.weaverbeaver.com) garnered the first of ANIMAX's Belding Bowls. Designed and built for ANIMAX client F3 Entertainment, the family-friendly site includes an engaging cast of cartoon characters, an animated music video, interactive games & activities, and full ecommerce functionality. Dave Coulier, an F3 Entertainment partner famous for his roles as an actor in "Full House" and numerous Disney projects, commented on the win, "ANIMAX did a great job building a fun site that kids love. We were very happy that the site yielded solid results, and now all these awards are just like icing on the cake."

The second of the two Belding Bowls was awarded for ANIMAX's website (www.animaxentertainment.com). Not a typical corporate site, the ANIMAX website showcases the Company's animation, interactive and multimedia talent, as well as its expertise in using Flash for broadcast quality productions.

The remaining two interactive awards went to TBWA\Chiat\Day and The Designory. Other big Belding winners included Deutsch and Team One Advertising. This year's judges included creative executives from Ogilvy & Mather in New York, Leo Burnett in Chicago, Mad Dogs & Englishmen in San Francisco, Young & Rubicam in Chicago, UNYQ in New York and the editor of MediaPost and Media Magazine, among others.

In addition to the Beldings, ANIMAX recently also won two Summit Creative Awards and two Golden Web Awards, again for the Weaver Beaver and ANIMAX websites. With over 3,000 international entries judged by creative execs at agencies like J. Walter Thompson, Bates and Wieden & Kennedy, the Summit Creative Awards (www.summitawards.com) recognize the work of smaller creative groups throughout the world. The International Association of Web Masters and Designers awards the Golden Web Awards.
