CARY, N.C. (PRWEB) May 27, 2003 - DataFlux Corporation, a SAS Company and leading provider of data management solutions that increase the consistency, accuracy and reliability of enterprise data assets, today announced the findings from the first meeting of the DataFlux Customer Advisory Board (CAB).
The DataFlux CAB is comprised of senior IT and Business professionals from both customer and partner organizations. Companies represented include Lexis Nexis, PACCAR, FDIC, Center for Data Quality, Cintas, ChoicePoint, Dun & Bradstreet Marketing Solutions, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Siperian, Innovative Consulting, iORMYX, SAS and Fairfax County Government. The CAB defined its role as a 'think tank where the members will discuss the data management industry, trends and issues; identify the common customer direction and needs; and provide product enhancement recommendations to DataFlux that will have a direct impact on future releases of DataFlux solutions.
Ken Hoang, CAB chairman and founder/CTO of Siperian noted a common industry trend, saying, Organizations today tend to operate as process driven lines of business. Yet, strategic corporate decisions need to be based on enterprise wide procedures. As a result, data management problems to integrate an organization are not easy to fix. Companies must understand that strategic decision making all starts with the consistency, accuracy and reliability of their data."
Tony Fisher, DataFlux president and general manager said that DataFlux is committed to providing continuous two-way communications with the Customer Advisory Board and to receiving their input on how the company is perceived. This input will be invaluable to DataFlux as we make decisions about the direction of our products and our company. Ideas and continuous feedback from the Customer Advisory Board will provide important input to DataFluxs product direction and development, as well as to its marketing strategy, messaging, and customer relationship activities."
During the meeting, CAB member James Ruan of PricewaterhouseCoopers said The board provides different perspectives to help DataFlux vocalize its message." The blending of IT and business views will help DataFlux to better understand and articulate the specific issues and challenges facing different lines of business within an organization. Upon closing of its first meeting, the board agreed to supply an architecture wish list, to provide user feedback, and to provide day-to-day examples of how DataFlux products are functioning and integrating in the clients environment.
