DCIS ENTERPRISE PORTALS & WEB SERVICES CONFERENCE TO FEATURE IN-DEPTH PANEL DISCUSSIONS
Industry Experts to Discuss Future of Web Services, Portals and the Impact of Web Services Standards on Business.

DCI will bring these discussions to the forefront of its conference in a panel discussion format, allowing attendees to interact with the panel members. There will be six panels presented, including Understanding the Impact of Web Services Standards, moderated by Jeff Tash, President and CEO of Flashmap Systems. Panelists include Joseph Chiusano, Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, David Smiley of Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS -- I) and Colin White, Conference Chair and President of Intelligent Business Strategies. This panel will discuss the ins and outs of Web services standards and how to ensure that Web services implementations are interoperable. Key issues covered throughout this discussion include: making decisions about Web services standards; examining competing standards; the benefits of standards enforcement and the problems with adopting standards in a volatile technology space.
Another panel discussion, The Future of Web Services and Portals, moderated by Colin White, Conference Chair and President of Intelligent Business Strategies, will investigate ways in which Web services will enable portals in the future. Attendees will join panelists to discuss the direction in which the industry is headed, the options available to enterprises today and how todays decisions affect the range of choices available in the future.
Also during the conference, the latest portal and Web services technologies will be unveiled and demonstrated. Advice on selecting the right tools to create the most effective solutions for any portal or Web services project will be offered by industry experts during the product showcase, June 17th and 18th.
