JUST RELEASED - Version 2.0 of TechRef
New release of TechRef, the only online IT database designed specifically for the non-technical. Produced by SemCo Enterprises, Inc., the industry standard for training and tools for the non-technical.
Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) May 24, 2003 - Susan Hodges, the founder of SemCo Enterprises, Inc., announced today the company has just launched Release 2.0 of TechRef, SemCos online IT database. This reference tool premiered in 2001. New functionality found in Release 2.0 includes:
· Boolean search capabilities;
· Search for words and/or phrases and/or dates;
· Combine vendor selection into searches;
· New categories, new drill down capabilities; and
· A new section of Technical Shorts" which are brief explanations of confusing, new or just plain interesting technologies.
TechRef is a unique product because unlike the available technical dictionaries, it was written for "business people." The explanations are in plain English. Definitions contain what products are used for, what products they interface with, and what platforms they run on instead of a technical explanation of how they work. TechRef includes more than 14,000 entries covering IT skills, technologies, concepts, products and vendors. This tool contains definitions and material on leading-edge and uncommon products as well as older technologies and products and information on thousands of vendors with a brief description of the vendor, a link to its corporate Website and a list of its products.
In addition, SemCo has launched a demo program as well to demonstrate the new features as well as familiarize prospective customers with the power of this reference tool. Anyone can sit in on a free demo by contacting SemCo, via email or phone. Email options are also available on both the SemCo and eSemCo websites. The demos are brief -- only 20 minutes in length -- but provide attendees with detailed information on how to use this powerful tool.
All of SemCos offerings are unique because we offer tools and training geared specifically to the non-technical professional.
