NEW GAME CLAIMS CENTER STAGE
AT PARTY STORES ACROSS AMERICA
NEW!! Introducing the most unique, upscale games for bridal and baby showers.
LOS ANGELES --Tony Sopranos Bada Bing club may add spice to the award-winning HBO television show, but brides across America now have BadaBadaBingo adding zest to their bridal showers.
The new board game is grabbing center stage at bridal showers across America, as hostesses and guests clamor to play the newest and most exciting contest since who-hid-the-garter.
Its creator is a thirtysomething graphic designer who spent so much time trudging to bridal and baby showers in the last few years, she decided to produce a game that was exciting, attractive and appealed to partygoers of all ages and sexes.
Lets face it: showers can be downright boring," shrugs Susan Nickey-Newton, creator of both BrideBingo and Baby Bingo. When you go to a shower you want to feel connected to the honoree, but you also hope to have an adventure, a triumph and, most of all, to have fun!"
Both BrideBingo and Baby Bingo are definite crowd-pleasers that have guests screaming to play again and again --, claims Nickey-Newton. Its exciting! You WANT something thats fun and will get partygoers in the spirit of the shower."
Both BrideBingo and Baby Bingo are no ordinary shower games, and they certainly dont look it, either. During BrideBingo, players navigate beautifully designed large, full-color cards depicting images of weddings, love and marriage. Guests at the shower fill in the name of the bride, the bridegroom and their wedding date in the three allotted spaces on each card. No two cards are alike. Formatted after traditional bingo, (the header reading B-R-I-D-E), the hostess calls out pre-printed chips in which the guests match up the image under the column header. The hostess places the called chips on a master call sheet which is also provided. Once bride" has been called, players clear their cards and a new game begins.
BrideBingo is not just a game to play while the bride-to-be opens her gifts. It is a fun and exciting game that is played as a separate game during the shower. Party guests are entertained and, at the same time, feel connected in a very personal way with the bride," explains Nickey-Newton. Brides enjoy all the attention and love hearing their name called so often during BrideBingo. The result is that never before have guests wanted to stay longer at showers!"
A leading graphic designer in Southern California, Nickey-Newton was also concerned with the appearance of the game as well as its format. Creating beautiful games was paramount to me. I could have cut costs by reducing the size of the cards or by limiting the color palette, but creating a visually appealing game was more important to me," claims Nickey-Newton.
I wanted to raise the standard of board games as well as innovate and invigorate long-observed shower customs in our society. Both BrideBingo and Baby Bingo do just that."
With orders already coming in from Canada and all over the United States, she says she hopes to introduce the games into other countries in the coming year.
Already Bada Bada Bingo is being recognized by leaders in the party industry for being a notch or two above the rest, according to Denise Cahill, Creator of PartyScratchers, an innovative party game retailer. BrideBingo and Baby Bingo is cuter, more colorful and generally better designed than most board games on the market today," she says.
The buyer for The Knot, a large online wedding resource, has recently placed wholesale re-orders for both BrideBingo and Gift Bingo -- Bride. Another large online wedding resource, WeddingChannel.com, has purchased BrideBingo and has placed reorders for Notes of Advice. According to the buyer for the Knot, these games are not only more attractive, but more affordable as well."
