PageFree On-Demand Authors Advance to the Traditional Playing Field

New R&R Program is Unparalleled in the Industry

PageFree Publishing has raised the bar for on-demand publishers this week by revealing their newly established, R & R Program.

R&R, which stands for Returns and Representation, is an opt-in program which has two major features. Books distributed by Ingram Book Company (which includes all PageFree distribution titles) will now be returnable for participating authors. Stores which stock these titles will have the option of returning undamaged, unsold copies to PageFree's return facility in Texas. Royalties will not be affected by returned titles; indeed all copies sold internationally will be eligible for royalty payment.

The second feature of the program provides for coast to coast, professional sales representation to bookstores. Authors may choose to have their titles included in the PageFree catalog, copies of which will be distributed to the stores on a twice-yearly basis.

Additional features include the option of warehousing promotional literature and materials. Returned copies will be offered to authors at steep discounts for use as review or ARC editions.

Titles included in the program will enjoy the same terms and visibility as traditionally-produced books and will not be referred to as on-demand products. Authors are invited to exercise their marketing skills to improve store ordering. As with the traditionals, simple introduction must be enhanced by some level of marketing exposure or title demand in order to find shelf placement.

Fees for participation in R&R are $400.00 for the first title, and $100.00 per additional title from the same author for a year's agreement. Yearly renewals are available at $100.00.

Authors who are currently published elsewhere, but wish to take advantage of PageFree's programs may publish a second edition of their books and enjoy discounts through the "Switch" offer. Interested authors should visit the website at www.pagefreepublishing.com or email publisher@pagefreepublishing.com for details.
