THE OTHER SIDE SIGNS WITH SKYWATER RECORDS
Kenosha alt-rockers The Other Side sign with Minnesota Indie label.
(PRWEB) May 25, 2003 -- Less than one month after taking Rock/Alternative Group of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year honors at the Wisconsin Area Music Awards, Kenosha alt-rockers The Other Side announced today that they have chosen SkyWater Records as their new recording home.
According to the band, it was the obvious respect for musicians that initially attracted them to the label.
We have never been more excited about the possibilities for our band than we are right now," remarked Steve Hawkins of The Other Side.
As often is the case with Indie artists, we were not interested in losing our sound, image or possibly alienating our fans to satisfy a record label agenda," said Hawkins.
By focusing our effort on seeking out and releasing the works of gifted songwriters, we hope to do our share to give music's true fans the originality they crave, and the artists a means to deliver their vision by allowing them the creative control they need to make it come alive," said Bernie Rominski, the president and CEO of SkyWater Records.
Through their eight-year evolution, this group of four diverse musicians has steadily created music that is accessible and heartfelt. Their bold determination and unrestricted form continually offers audiences the same variety of melody, genre, and live energy they've come to expect.
