Microsoft .NET helps re-invent Classified Advertising

Now every newspaper can afford to accept pre-paid classified advertisements over the internet.

Great news for newspapers.

Newspapers that sell print classifieds online -- allowing the advertiser to design, develop and pay for the ad directly on a Web site -- consistently find that the ads they receive generate more revenue than similar ads that have been phoned in. They also find that theyre running ads that they otherwise might not have received. The problem up to now has been cost.

For newspapers that seriously wants to increase revenue at a surprisingly low cost, then this new affordable web service is worth considering.

Competiting head-on with the nation's only other provider of online print classified selling, Advertise123.com, http://www.actionclassified.net/">ActionClassified.NET's new 'ClassAct!' web service provides a far richer and more flexible service for collecting adverts online; all at a fraction of the cost.

The ClassAct! service provides a number of new features that, up to now, have been unavailable. It delivers new flexibility for newspapers in the areas of upsells, picture attachment support, support for multiple languages, auto-FTP into the newspapers online edition and features to allow newspapers to sell their own banner ads within the service. But most of all, newspapers can finally customize the look and feel of the input screens used for capturing adverts to reflect their own identity.

For large newspapers the ClassAct service can even be hosted in-house to fully maximize a newspaper's cost savings. Flexibility and enhanced functionality makes this service very different to what has been offered in the past.

Selling print advertsing online finally makes sense, thanks to Microsoft's new .NET technology.

"Most people see our new service simply as a 'no-brainer' for newspapers wanting to increase revenue and reduce costs. The service can pay for itself in a very short time." Dr. D.Hall - ActionClassified
