With tongue firmly planted in cheek, the Moulin Rouge Downunder is an underground venue (with a capacity of 150), which offers Sydney the kind of venue it has long been waiting for! Its a burlesque club with glamour, class and a sense of fun. You can expect high quality service, entertainment and value. It will cater to a wide range of tastes: from the younger, savvy, upmarket crowd through to the "old school" of hedonists...who appreciate good music, good times and a colourful crowd. Encouraging patrons with a more discerning eye, here you can escape the humdrum nightclub scene, in the midst of lush velvet drapes, chandeliers, can-can girls and cheeky smiles.

Its a fully themed bar, where cocktail waitresses shimmy in peek-a-boo corsets with hypnotic beaded trimming. There is always a show on the go, whether the stage is brimming with dancers or a naughty nightie show or the Midnight sideshow freak is urging your attention despite your resistance to look. Where good taste allows...anything goes. Entertainment, Fun and Freedom are of paramount importance.

The Moulin Rouge Downunder will offer entertainment 7 nights a week, til 6am on weekends, opening on Friday 6th June. On this night we celebrate with Hifi-DoleyT, who will set the pace with some gorgeous live tunes. Well spice it up with an outrageous burlesque show and later, a pinch of exotica. All cradled in the buxom bosum of the sexy Sounds Of Seduction (Jay Katz & Miss Death), who will take us on a crazy ride through go-go town: simmer with languid lounge, lustful latino, some sexy swing, boiling up to some booty-shakin beats and rare burlesque footage to tantalise and amuse you! Youll be licking your lips, as you savour this classy casserole of cabaret! And you can always sip on the magical spirit of Absinthe should you wish to fly away awhile...

The Grand Opening is scheduled for 5th July. Opening with a show from the Diamond Dog dancers, wholl put your needle on the record, and in the groove. The dirty funkin tunes of the Jackie Orczawsky band* will take us to soul-funk heaven. And while were stewing in the groove gravy of the eeeeerotic Sounds of Seduction, well be floored by an especially risqué appearance by the hilarious and gorgeous Christa Hughes (Machine Gun Fellatio), among other surprises.
