PHILADELPHIA BLACK PUBLIC RELATIONS SOCIETY (PBPRS) TO HOST MEMBERSHIP DRIVE IN CELEBRATION OF THIRD ANNIVERSARY
The Philadelphia Black Public Relations Society (PBPRS) hosts their Third Anniversary/Membership Drive at BEYOND, 8th & Callowhill Streets, Philadelphia, PA, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, May 29, 2003. PBPRS recognizes the growing numbers of African American public relations and communications professionals in the tri-state area. PBPRS serves as a mechanism of support for these professionals.
PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) May 28, 2003 -- On Thursday, May 29, 2003, the Philadelphia Black Public Relations Society (PBPRS) hosts their Third Anniversary/Membership Drive at BEYOND, 8th & Callowhill Streets, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
This years guest speaker, E. Steven Collins, radio show host and national sales director for Y-100 and 103.9 The Beat" (Radio One), will share tips for success in the communications industry. The event is open to the public and communications professionals are encouraged to attend. Admission is free for PBPRS members. A tax-deductible donation of $10.00 is requested from non-members, in support of the PBPRS scholarship fund. This fund assists students of color who are interested in pursuing careers in the communications industry.
PBPRS, a 501(c)3 organization, operated by volunteers in the communications industry, is committed to providing public relations/communications counterparts with an advocate, a resource and a venue for professional support. Minorities are increasingly becoming the face and spokespersons for private and non-profit organizations. PBPRS recognizes the growing numbers of African American public relations and communications professionals in the tri-state area. PBPRS serves as a mechanism of support for these professionals.
