LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2003--California University of Law and Business (CULB) will hold an on-line writing contest for young adults aged 11 to 17 from June 1, 2003 through July 31, 2003. The participation is free, and the prizes are cash rewards and up to 2 years of free on-line reading tool.

The theme of this contest is on the experience of learning English. The contestants are asked to write creatively in the form of a story, poem, or essay.

Without a doubt, the best way for anyone to write well is through practice," said Howard Lo, CEO of CULB. I hope, through the contest, the young adults will be motivated to write even during summer vacation. The prize is just a small foretaste of the greater reward that is to come. If they can continue to practice writing, they will have better chance to higher education, and such reward will benefit them even more."

All winners will receive at lease one year of free online reading tool (CULB English Mastering Program). This tool, a product of CULB, contains numerous English literatures on-line. As a reading tool, it would save students time and effort. Students can look up difficult words in the reading with a single click of the mouse, and review those words afterwards through challenging word games. Other features of the tool include calendar, chat, forum, and grammar reference.
