26th Annual Strength and Conditioning Conference Delivers the Facts Behind the practice

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) will conduct its 26th Annual National Conference July 16-19, 2003. This premier strength and Conditioning event attracts nearly 2000 professionals from around the world.

Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) May 30, 2003 - The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the worldwide authority on strength training and athletic conditioning, will conduct its 26th annual National Conference July 16-19, 2003 in Indianapolis, Indiana. This premier strength and conditioning event attracts nearly 2,000 professionals from around the world.

Who Should Attend:

·   Strength coaches, physical therapists, nutritionalists, sport coaches, personal trainers, educators, students, and researchers interested in learning new concepts, expanding their level of knowledge, or building relationships and networking with others in the field.

Highlights of the 26th Annual National Conference:

·   Keynote Speaker. Tom Zupancic, Indiana football hall-of-fame inductee, will present the Keynote Address. Zupancic joined the Indianapolis Colts when they moved to the city in 1984. He served as the teams Strength and Conditioning coach until 1999 when he joined the front office as Director of Business Development. He has since been promoted to Vice-President. Zupancic will deliver the keynote presentation Thursday, July 17 with his insights on the advancement of the strength and conditioning profession, as well as entertain the crowd.

·   Program Sessions. Through a faculty of over 50 and more than 30 general sessions, the conferences research-based, content-driven forum provides strength and conditioning specialists with in-depth instruction from an international group of academic and industry experts.

·   Pre-conference symposia. Three intensive symposia sessions are available to choose from on Wednesday, July 16. These in-depth 6-hour symposia examine specific strength and conditioning topics. Choose from Nutritional Strategies for Injuries, Rehabilitation, and Special Populations (sponsored by GNC); Power: The Theory, Practice, and Reality-A Workshop in Sport-Specific Power Development; or Strength, Speed, and Agility for the Sport Coach (both sponsored by Power Systems and the Gatorade Sport Science Institute).

·   Trade Show. Conference delegates will have the opportunity to interact with equipment providers to preview new and innovative products in an exhibit setting. As a special treat this year a CART Champ racecar will be on display, and CART rookie of the year, Scott Dixon, will be in attendance!

·   Original Research. Over 100 original research presentations will be on hand at this year's conference. These occur as brief 15-minute oral presentations or as comprehensive poster presentations.

·   Career Services. Find a job, network, or fill that empty position. The NSCA Career Services Center will be available throughout the conference.

·   From the Field Presentations. These demonstrations are practical and hands-on in nature with valuable question and answer periods. They take place each day in the exhibit hall during lunch.
