Serengeti Tracker Version 5.3 Offers New Features for Large Law Departments

Release include: multi-tier law department practice groups, multiple company cost center allocations, and new management reports

Serengeti Law announced today the release of version 5.3 of Serengeti Tracker, the legal professions premier Web-based matter management system. This release provides new features specifically for large corporate law departments, as well as enhancements for law firms submitting electronic bills to corporate clients.

Among the new features in Tracker 5.3 are: quick setup of multiple-tier law department practice groups, custom allocation of legal bills to multiple cost centers, and new management reports. Additional features facilitate budget management, including phase-based budgeting for litigation.

Law firms working with corporate clients will benefit from Tracker Speed Post, which streamlines the submission of electronic bills. New invoice submission tools also help law firms quickly resolve any problems with LEDES bills.

Current users do not need to install or pay for upgrades to the system, which are immediately available to all law department and law firm users. Users can learn more by consulting online tutorials in the Serengeti Tracker help site.

Since its release just over a year ago, Serengeti Tracker has connected more than 1,100 law department users with over 3,000 law firms in sixty countries worldwide. Core functionality includes secure legal file sharing among in-house and outside legal teams, electronic bill review and auditing, budget management, and on-demand performance reporting.
