New Website is Valuable Resource for Temporary Employees

Temporary employees have long had to rely on trial and error when selecting agencies for which to work. But that has changed with the launch of a new website, Tempagencyreviews.com.

The first of its kind, the Tempagencyreviews.com website allows temporary workers to submit and read reviews of temporary agencies nationwide. The site includes a message board for sharing stories and information, as well as links to related websites and articles covering everything from labor laws to tips on how to deal with agencies.

Temps generally dont receive the same employment benefits or protections under labor law as permanent employees -- working with an agency that is responsive to the concerns of its temps is vital to success in the job market.

"There was nothing on the web to indicate which temp agencies were reliable, and which to avoid," said the website's creator, a temp since 1997, who was inspired to develop the site after seven months of an unsatisfactory assignment. "I created the site to give temps the opportunity to share their experiences, and to provide a starting point for access to information that they need to be successful in today's workplace."

The website has received praise from temporary workers all over the country. Tempagencyreviews.com was useful in guiding me to good temp agencies," stated one feedback e-mail.
