HOLLYWOOD BLACK FILM FESTIVAL SHINES ON NEWCOMER TAMARA CURRY IN FOR REAL" DIRECTED BY AND STARRING TIM REID TO OPEN THE RED CARPET EVENT

   
Hollywood, Calif. (PRWEB) June 1, 2003- In the romantic comedy, For Real", set in the exhilarating world of urban music, two different lifestyles meet in a clash between the old and the new. The BHFF will showcase the film directed by and starring Tim Reid and will introduce Tamara Curry, the actress whose looks have been compared to the sultry looks of Angelina Jolie and Vivica A. Fox.
   
Curry will be shining with the stars on the red carpet at Black Hollywood Film Festival on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at the Harmony Gold Preview House in Hollywood. The event begins at 7 p.m.   
   
As the lead in the film as Cece, Curry plays the headstrong niece of music mogul and high-class lawyer, Mac Sinclairs (Reid) housekeeper. Following a brush with the law, Cece is forced to calm her ways at Macs waterfront estate after being ordered on lockdown by a vengeful judge with a score to settle. The two lives clash in a display of the traditions of the old school and the fresh flava of the new school.
   
Smooth Magazine features Curry steaming up the pages of The First Annual Hollywood Swimsuit Spectacular" released on March 25, 2003, dedicated to showcasing eight of the hottest young talent in Hollywood. Curry graces the first page of the layout. Other talent included Golden Brooks who plays Maya on Girlfriends" and Mari Morrow who played Rachel Cannon on One Life to Live."

Curry also starred in the lead role of Trina in the national touring production of, Whats on the Hearts of Men," featuring Malik Yorba and BeBe Winans. Curry also has notable performances in Fabric of a Man," A Raisin in the Sun," A Midsummer Nights Dream," An Evening of Shakespeare," Bubblin Brown Sugar," and Dream Girls."
