MAYO COMMUNICATIONS LAUNCHES HOT NEWS TIP SHEET THE BUSINESS BEAT" FOR THE NEWS MEDIA ONLY

National award-winning Los Angeles PR firm - MAYO Communications will profile business and companies on the move in Southern California in one of a kind media news hot tip sheet.

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) June 2, 2003 - MAYO Communications announced today (Thursday) it is launching a news media only" tip sheet -- The Business Beat,"for Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). The nonprofit agency has hired MAYO Communications for media relations.

As a former reporter, I feel by offering a one page menu of interesting news tips to the media it will help make their jobs easier and our business partners more accessible," said George Mc Quade, vice president, MAYO Communications, who will edit and produce it.

One of the biggest complaints we receive from the media is short notices of events or very little time to absorb studies or complex issues and information. The Business Beat will expedite the flow of information and interviews so the news media can meet their deadline."

The Business Beat is specifically designed to be a resource to the media for editorial ideas and business story leads. It will be sent to newsroom assignment managers, producers, editors, writers and reporters in print, TV and radio news.

What difference it makes when you work with someone who totally knows what theyre doing when it comes to news coverage and media placement," said Chief Economist Jack Kyser, Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC).

The first issue profiles an international aerospace giant, which has relocated from Santa Monica to the South Bay, employing some 500 people.

The newsletter will also alert the media on upcoming study results such as Mid-Year Forecast," or The International Trade Trends Impact," a report released to the media in May that revealed a half dozen news leads including the impact of the SARS scare and terrorism on the economy. The newsletter will also advise the media on upcoming events and reports from the World Trade Center Association of LA and Long Beach, an affiliate of LAEDC.

Established in 1995, MAYO Communications (www.MayoCommunications.com) is a full-service marketing communications firm, located in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles. The firm works with clients on media relations, media training, crisis communications, local, national and international publicity campaigns, branding and educational marketing programs. Our niche is media coverage, said President Aida Mayo, MAYO Communications. We spend less time guaranteeing media placement, and more time on getting it."
