Rocco Brothers Retains Archer Lyon To Produce A New Trend in Concerts and Tours.
The Rocco Brothers Organization (RBO), a Boston based Entertainment firm involved in DVD distribution and entertainment merchandising for some of the countries hottest acts have retained the New York based concert promoter Archer Lyon Entertainment to produce a series of mega-tours throughout 2004.
New York (PRWEB) June 2, 2003 -- The Rocco Brothers Organization (RBO), a Boston based Entertainment firm involved in DVD distribution and entertainment merchandising for some of the countries hottest acts have retained the New York based concert promoters Archer Lyon Entertainment to produce a series of mega-tours throughout 2004.
The live entertainment business in recent years has been dominated by corporate giants like Clear Channel Communication who, over the last 5 years, has acquired some of the countries largest promoters. Acquisitions of legendary promoters Delsener Slater, Don Law and SFX combined with Clear Channels ownership of nearly 1200 radio stations (including the countries major pop stations), and it interest in hundreds of major concert venues throughout the country has clearly eliminated and intimidated many of the countries seasoned independent promoters who have charged that Clear Channel uses monopolistic, predatory and anticompetitive business practices.
The Rocco Brothers who have been a mainstay in the music industry for the last three decades have primarily been involved with the distribution and merchandizing of acts such as NSync, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morrisette. However, it is clear that RBO intends to step outside their business model and enter the live music industry by way of retaining one of the countries leading independent promoters.
Archer Lyon Entertainment, whose impressive roster of concerts and tours includes Crosby Stills & Nash and legendary Tenor Jose Carreras were unavailable for comment. They have maintained their interest to remain as an independent company, despite their newfound relationship with RBO.

It is still unclear how RBO and Archer Lyon plan on facing off with Clear Channel or any of the other conglomerates.
