>> Reward Points System - What used to be a $245 add-on to ProductCart is now included in the standard version. ItÂs a useful customer loyalty system that allows store visitors to accrue points with purchase, and then use them to obtain discounts and free products. A great Internet marketing tool.
>> Global Changes. With ProductCart v2 itÂs easy to change product attributes across hundreds of products with one click. Select which products by using a variety of filters (category, name, description, part number, etc.) and changes will be applied to the entire selection at once (e.g. increase/decrease prices, assign/remove attributes such as free shipping, special, non-taxable, not for sale, etc.)
>> Multiple Administrators. Add additional Control Panel users to help you administer your online store. Limit access to only specific areas of the Control Panel (e.g. order processing only).
>> Custom Checkout Options. Add custom fields to the registration and checkout pages (e.g. require companies to enter a Tax ID). Each field may be set as required or not required. A "How did you hear about us?" drop-down menu can also be easily added to track where customers are coming from.
>> New Quoting Features added to Build To Order version. Let customers save, print, edit and electronically submit custom quotes for configurable products and services. With one click, you can now turn your ecommerce Web site into a real-time, quoting system. Hide prices and disallow purchasing on specific build-to-order products (e.g. a service for which prices are not determined until the quote is prepared). Review submitted quotes and reply to them right from within the Control Panel.
>> Other improvements. New "Locate a Product" feature allows the store administrator to locate a product for editing by using multiple filtering criteria. New ÂBrand ManagementÂ feature makes it easy to associate products with brands (or suppliers) and lets users browse the store by Brand. Category descriptions now feature HTML support, just like Product descriptions, and different descriptions can be shown depending on whether a category contains products or subcategories.
