Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) June 4, 2003 -- The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association International (MESA) today announced that the first set of manufacturing enterprises has joined the organization. The Coors Brewing Company, Corning Inc., La-Z-Boy Inc., and Tyson Foods Inc. have all joined MESA International as corporate members.
This represents a significant step for MESA," stated Rob Rudder, chairperson of the organization. MESA has aggressively moved to position itself in the marketplace as an organization that services a niche area for manufacturers. We help them understand what is possible with todays information systems technology, show them how other companies are being successful, and provide an education and guidance on how to successfully deploy these technologies."
These manufacturing members have joined MESA to help them move forward with their information systems roadmaps. Coors, for instance, sees MESA as a way ...to enable interaction with other companies in similar industries. Coors recognizes that the need for a step change improvement in their manufacturing systems is required. MESA will enable Coors to get a vendor neutral perspective on how other industries have solved similar problems and to build a network with other MESA members to share learnings and best practices," said Dave Femia, MESA business development manager.
We offer unique programs to manufacturers and are complimentary to our product, service, and analyst members," stated Femia. He added, MESA is a unique organization in that it successfully balances benefits to both the manufacturing and the information systems provider communities."
MESA sponsors events and an interactive website for the manufacturing community. Its Annual Conference of the Americas is on September 7-10 and is titled Achieving Business Success Through Manufacturing Excellence." The conference will feature case studies, educational sessions, panel discussions, and more, covering how companies have achieved manufacturing excellence and how others can plot a course to get there.
