Can you drive higher performance without burning out your team?

Managers and executives today, who are faced with the challenge of driving performance without burning out valuable human capital, will find a new free tips email seminar a timely solution!

New York City, NY (PRWEB) June 5, 2003 -- A recent study conducted by The Gallup Organization reveals that more then half of the US workforce is giving less than half of their best efforts due to disengagement, which translates into either people who are burned out or close to it. Gallup further shows that despite the illusion of the hurry-up, busy workplace of today being productive and profitable as a result of downsizing and matrix management, that this disengagement of employees is costing US companies $350 billion in loss profitability. This presents a big challenge for managers and executives who are being asked by their organizations to drive further results from work groups that are already showing signs of strain and performance failure.

Joe Santana, co-author of Manage IT, a recently published guide for IT managers, believes that the solution to this challenge can be found in techniques that re-engage workers with their work. "Workshops on how to cope with stress and employee stress support hot lines do not result in significant performance improvements because they do not address the problem," states Santana. Simply treating the symptoms of burnout is like giving someone a medicine that provides temporary relief from external signs that they have a cold. After the medication wears off, they still have a virus raging through their body thats slowing them down" he adds. Santana further explains that the virus" causing burnout is disengagement with work and no matter what temporary relief solution we provide to ease the pain, at the end of the day the virus of disengagement" is still alive and well and impairing performance unless we address is directly by reengaging people with their work.

In the free email seminar titled Tips for Driving Peak Performance, Santana offers managers practical tips they can use to reengage their teams with their work. The program, which is delivered over a seven-day period via brief daily emails, is designed to provide practical advice that can immediately be put to use in any environment.

In addition to getting this program valued at $295 for free, subscribers will automatically receive a 33 page mini ebook copy of Manage IT, access to a library of over nine management articles, access to a Staffing Strategies audio program and subscription to the Manage IT newsletter also free of charge. The total value of this offer is over $1,000.
