Additional media coverage has included National Public Radio, the San Diego Union -Tribune and numerous other publications. The recent attention on the company's technologies in the security sector has created a successful platform to introduce the Company to the Institutional Investment Community.

The Company also announced today it will be present at the upcoming: Investing in The Defense & Security Industries Conference June 12, 2003 at The Harvard Club, New York. The invitation only event, hosted by Gateway Investor Forums, a division of The Wall Street Transcript (TWST), will feature a small selected group of promising public companies, including Markland Technologies, as well as leading industry experts in the defense and security sector. The conference was developed to fulfill the need for specific information that many analysts, fund managers and investors are seeking.

According to TWST "Defense spending is expected to reach nearly $450 billion in fiscal 2003, up to $100 billion, from the level reached the previous year." The Conference will be an informative overview for attending investors on where the industry is heading and where the opportunities exist. The Research Firms presenting include: JDA Research, American Technology Research, Forensic Investigative Services, Mallon Capital and CIBC World Markets.

Mr. Ken Ducey, President, stated " We are glad Markland was chosen as one of the few companies able to help educate this unique group about this growing industry. I look forward to presenting on the progress we have made in building an integrated portfolio of technologies to thwart the serious threats against our country. Our fast track acquisition strategy has resulted in real solutions for the government from technologies including: Integrated Metal and Acoustic Explosives Detection Portal, Proprietary Vehicle Stopping System (VSS), Dedicated Commuter Lane (DCL), Plasma Decontamination Technology, Automated Container Sensing Technology, as well as the recently announced merger with the Facial Recognition Firm - BioDentity Systems Corporation".

To compliment the current border technology portfolio, the company has recently teamed with a major Department of Homeland Security contractor whom is presently involved with numerous DHS contracts, including the STARLIGHT program as previously announced by the company. The purpose of this teaming arrangement is to facilitate co-operative work efforts for the US VISIT security program. The Department of Homeland Security is expected to publish an RFP for this program shortly. "We have successfully executed on the initial phases of our plan. As we continue to grow Markland, and move forward with the anticipated reverse split, we believe more and more institutional investors will be interested in our company." Stated Mr. Ducey.

Markland President Ken Ducey will present at 11:00am, June 12 at the Harvard Club in New York City.
