Spiderman suit now available

A suit for climbing metal structures has been invented in Dearborn Michigan. Using this suit one can climb walls like Spiderman.

Dearborn Michigan -- Look out Spider-Man ---anyone can now climb walls like you.

A team of students and staff at the Academy of Engineering & Technology have created the World' first magnetic climbing suit that mimics Spider-Mans climbing ability.

The new suit (called SpiderSuitŠ) contains dozens of extremely powerful magnets embedded in gloves, shoes and knee-pads.

Jeff Whittaker, a Physics instructor at the Academy of Engineering & Technology in the United States, said the technology could be used for building bridges and ships and may see applications in the military.

Suits for people as small as 50 pounds and as large as 220 pounds are being developed. The current suit is strong enough for a 140 pound person to hang from a wall using only the feet and knees.

So far we have received interest from Fun Amusements, a San Antonio Texas based company that produce amusement rides and the New Detroit Science Center."

Pictures of the suit in action can be found at: http://www.physicslessons.com/spidersuit.htm
