Christina Kilby, owner and founder, began the company in an effort to support the valuable work of animal welfare groups across the country.
Rescue organizations from California to Florida have benefited from customers purchases of jewelry, custom pet couches and a myriad of other pet themed items. I was constantly frustrated that I was unable to find unique dog and cat themed gifts for friends and family, and also wanted to give back to the animal rescue community. This seemed like the perfect solution!" says Kilby. Kilby volunteers with several non-profit animal welfare groups in the Los Angeles area and knows first hand how frustrating fundraising can be. We provide a simple method of generating donations with very little work for the nonprofit organization, and their supporters find great products in the process!" Kilby explains.
Independent artists and not large name brands create the majority of Folk Tails products, giving the customer the ability to find a large number of unique items in one convenient location. Animal welfare organizations that have been featured on Folk Tails include Animal Avengers, Valley Cats, Inc., Give a Dog a Bone, and In Memory of Magic.
