Citrus Controls announces Software Reflective Memory solution
Citrus Controls has released Amirus Mirror Memory for Windows, an exception-driven software
reflective memory system for distributed
application development. An optional bridging
component allows seamless integration with
existing hardware reflective memory rings.
Las Vegas, Nevada - 8 Jun 2003, Citrus Controls today announced the release of its low-cost AmirusMM software reflective memory, allowing up to 32 computer systems to share 64Mbytes of main memory without proprietary boards or cables.
Utilizing standard networking hardware, the AmirusMM exception-driven design supports the development and deployment of distributed applications on both wireless and traditional local area networks. An optional hardware bridging component mediates data exchange with existing reflective memory rings, allowing data to be shared over a far larger geographic area
than available with hardware alone.
"With AmirusMM, we combine high throughput with low overhead and millisecond data latency," said Dr. Tony Cox, Citrus Controls president. "A distributed lock manager, and our redundant data caching algorithms provide a robust platform for
the development of high reliability applications, or the porting of existing ones."
AmirusMM is available now for WindowsNT/2000/XP. Support for Linux and WindowsCE will be available in Q4 2003. AmirusMM is licensed for $599 per node, which includes comprehensive network management, diagnostic, and test utilities. The optional hardware bridging license is available for $200.
