The intent of the founders was to bring a very low cost domain registration and hosting business to the market. As Bill Hackel said recently, "Some registrars are charging in excess of $25 per year just to register a domain name! That's insane."    OwnThatName charges a nominal fee of $8.75 or less per year for a registration, and even less to transfer an existing domain. "That's a substantial savings, especially if you have several names", said Mr. Hackel.    

The company plans to target small to medium business and especially individuals in a marketing campaign over the next few months. This effort will focus on not just domain registration, but also the company's web hosting, email services, and traffic driving offerings.
