New GPS Product to Aid War Against Terror, Protect Consumers and Businesses

Auburn, NY -- A fully loaded gasoline tanker is stolen and goes on a high-speed suicide race across two counties until it is crashed through the front doors of an elementary school. This is the scenario that emergency planners can imagine, but cant be 100% certain of preventing.

The Direct-Track Unit (DTU) is a mobile GPS technology that utilizes specialized microburst communications and the continental cellular system to enable people to locate their vehicle to within 20 feet. It also provides theft-prevention and vehicle monitoring capabilities.

The fleet manager can then go online and find where the truck is to within 20 feet. The manager can then trigger the ignition disable so that if the truck is shut off for any reason, it cannot be restarted. The manager can then relay the location to emergency authorities.
