California Groove Rock Icons FU MANCHU Release 'Go For It...Live!' Double-Live Album On July 22nd Through SPV

Southern California's FU MANCHU has made massive waves for over ten years, blending fluid grooves with a leaden crunch, sending shockwaves rumbling across the entire hard rock community. On July 22nd, SPV commemorates the band's innovative talents with a 2-CD live release, entitled 'Go For It...Live!', which was recorded during the band's 2002 California Crossing world tour.

Originating as a band wanting to inject a charge of SoCal mirth into the rhythmic grooves their influences, like Black Sabbath & Kyuss, FU MANCHU quickly evolved, carving a niche of their own with excellent showmanship backed by infectious songwriting & thunderous sonic power. The band eventually landed tours with the likes of Motörhead, P.O.D., and Sevendust, assimilating fans along the way. In 2001, the band's sponsor, Vans Shoes, asked FU MANCHU to perform a party at the Sundance Film Festival to commemorate the Dogtown & Z Boys documentary (which was about the pioneering 1970s Zephyr skateboarding team). During this span, the band released 7 studio albums and toured virtually everywhere, including New Zealand & Japan!

Go For It...Live! represents the cumulative effort of the band's experiences and evolution as a resonating dynamo. Recorded in Stockholm, Sweden and the band's home turf Los Angeles, CA, the album includes a bevy of FU MANCHU favorites, from "Ojo Rojo" to the now-famous cover version of Blue Öyster Cult's "Godzilla". Vocalist Scott Hill comments on the release, "We had a bunch of shows recorded to try to pick out the best ones, but we came out with so many songs, we felt it HAD to be 2 discs. It's probably the most accurate collection of our best work from our first album to the most recent. We also felt we've never really captured our true sound in the studio; we're very full, heavy sounding live. We've come close a few times, as far as rawness, but the live album represents how we really sound as a band."

Along with vocalist/guitarist Hill, FU MANCHU also consists of lead guitarist Bob Balch, bassist Brad Davis, and drummer Scott Reeder (who replaced previous drummer Brant Bjork on the California Crossing tour). Go For It...Live! is the band's first recorded work with Reeder. The tracklisting includes:
