NEW YORK -- Death of the Party will drift into at Kenny's Castaways at 157 Bleecker Street on June 23, at 10:00 p.m. Admission is $5. Dancers will be choreographed by burlesque diva and public access TV host, the Goddess Miss Kitty and Adrienne Juan.
The band will perform music from an original rock opera about the assassination of John F. Kennedy written by former Vampyr Theatre writer Tony Sokol. The opera theorizes that it was not a conspiracy, but a coincidence that a diverse group of ad hoc conspirators happened to assassinate President Kennedy on the same day, at the same time and in the same place.
The music varies in style from classic-rock to speed-zydeco, including prog-rock, metal rap, country, 60s girl group and dance music, bump and grind and atonal songs and interludes.
