EMPLOYEE PLUS EXPANDS TO NEW MARKETS
WITH EXCLUSIVE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PROGRAM

Brings Local Merchants and Corporations Together in Service to Employees

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (PRWEB) June 11, 2003 -- Employee Plus, an employee benefits service company, announced today further expansion of its exclusive Employee Plus Program in the Southern California area, with 20 new cities expected by years end. Employee Plus is an innovative and no-cost way for participating employers to offer employees savings on products and services from participating local businesses. Dining, auto repair and dry cleaning are just some of the areas of savings available.

The concept behind Employee Plus is the offering of an extra benefit program for local corporate employers to add to their employee benefits package without need for any administration. As a result, employees save money through savings and discounts offered by local merchants; employees are able to stay in the general area of work to dine and do errands in less time and with greater convenience. Local merchants generate added revenue by gaining access to a new and large customer population that wants and needs their product or service. Further, the Employee Plus Program gives merchants top-of-mind awareness at a point when employees are ready to buy. Merchants pay a nominal fee to be included in the local, annual Employee Plus merchant directory. Participating merchants include Chilis Grill & Bar, Panda Express, Koo Koo Roo and Maggianos Little Italy Restaurant.

Employee Plus is a new channel to identify and brand a merchants business," said Elliot Cohen, president of Employee Plus. "In todays economy, building lunchtime business by reaching employees is a real challenge for restaurants. Our program solves that problem by delivering customers and profits to merchants. Lunchtime now becomes an increased revenue period for all our participating businesses."

More than 100 employers, such as Countrywide Financial, Kaiser Permanente/Woodland Hills, Rockwell Scientific and Alcatel, currently participate in the Employee Plus program, benefiting more than 50,000 employees. Locations being served include Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills/Warner Center, Agoura Hills, Newbury Park, Calabasas, and Westlake Village with more cities being added soon.

Once an employer decides to participate in the program, it receives the Employee Plus Introductory Packets that includes a welcome letter, Access Card and merchant directory to be distributed at the workplace by the Human Resources Department, and kept at the employees desk for quick reference. While the employer distributes the packets, it is Employee Plus that facilitates the administration services to the employees. If an employee has a question about the service, they can receive prompt assistance by calling the Employee Plus Help Line.

I really love being part of the Employee Plus program," said Sonia Mumau of MWM Enterprises. Since I go out to lunch everyday, I usually save about 20% per day because of the program, which for me is like receiving a free lunch every week."

"I needed to increase my lunch business and I did through the Employee Plus program," said Barry Mills, general manager of Maggianos Little Italy Restaurant. I now reach thousands of business people everyday and my lunch revenue has dramatically increased. They are a professional and smart program."
