ARNOLD WORLDWIDE-ST. LOUIS WINS JEFFERSON NATIONAL PARKS ASSOCIATION ACCOUNT

Agencys New Client is Educational Concierge for World-Famous Gateway Arch in Downtown St. Louis

St. Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) June 12, 2003 -- Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis, a full-service advertising and marketing agency, has won a prestigious new account: The Jefferson National Parks Association (JNPA), which is the non-profit partner that supports educational and historical activities of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, including the world-famous Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis has been engaged by JNPA to create an integrated print, broadcast, outdoor and website campaign this summer to boost awareness of JNPA and support the launch of a new, customized Gateway Arch license plate that will be offered for issue to licensed Missouri motorists later this year. The agency was chosen by JNPAs Board of Directors in a creative competition among a dozen marketing agencies.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis also will design the new plate, which will be issued through JNPA by the Missouri Department of Revenue so motorists can show their pride in The Gateway Arch, a national monument designed by famed architect Eero Saarinen. The 630-foot glistening, steel memorial on the Mississippi riverfront in downtown St. Louis often is called The Gateway to the West."

Les Diveley, president of Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis, said, Arnold Worldwide is very proud to play a creative role in promoting Jefferson National Parks Association and its important not-for-profit mission, which enhances the lives of millions of visitors to St. Louis and The Gateway Arch every year, as well as its fund-raising initiatives."

A key element in Arnold Worldwides campaign for JNPA is creation of a new, interactive website, which will allow motorists in Missouri to order a new Gateway Arch license plate online. The campaign also will include original billboards, posters, print ads, TV and radio public service announcements, brochures, events and direct mail to support plate sales online and at National Park Service facilities, including the Gateway Arch Visitor Center and The Old Courthouse in St. Louis. Proceeds above the Missouri Department of Revenue costs for producing and issuing the plates will support JNPAs educational mission.

Arnold Worldwides JNPA account team includes Mark Ray, creative director; Jason Kempf, account executive; Brad Fels, senior writer/associate creative director; Mark Halski, art director/designer; and Sue Chapman, executive vice president/director of planning.

Missouri House Bill 1093, passed by the Missouri General Assembly in 2002, provides for the issuance of new specialty license plates by JNPA and other enterprises. Financial terms for the JNPA marketing account were not disclosed.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis is the Midwest office of Arnold Worldwide, a full-service advertising agency network owned by Havas of Paris, France. (Nasdaq: HAVS, Euronext Paris: HAV.PA) The agency network has four offices in the U.S., including its Boston headquarters, New York City, Washington D.C. and St. Louis. In the past, Arnold Worldwide has won the Grand Prix Award at the International Festival in Cannes, plus numerous Clios, EFFIEs, Obies and One Show awards.

Jefferson National Parks Association is a federally recognized National Park Service cooperating association. It supports the educational, historical and interpretive activities of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (including the Gateway Arch and the Old Courthouse) and the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site in St. Louis; the Lewis & Clark Visitor Center at Gavin's Point Dam in Yankton, South Dakota; the Lewis & Clark State Historic Site in Hartford, Illinois; and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, a 72-mile stretch of the Mississippi River in Minnesota.
