Government communications pro Michael Ertel tapped by PR News magazine as one of America's 15 rising stars
PR News magazine has named Inform Inspire Involve president Michael Ertel as one of Americas 15 rising PR stars.
PR News magazine has named government and nonprofit communications professional Michael Ertel as one of Americas 15 rising PR stars.
The current issue of the industry magazine features their annual 15 to Watch" awards, highlighting innovative and accomplished PR professionals younger than 35. Ertel was the only Florida PR pro selected for the award.
PR News Editor Matthew Schwartz said in a release, Although our winners work in widely disparate areas of communications, they all share a few things in common: drive, an ability to think out of the box when necessary and a sixth sense for serving their client, members of the press and any other parties with a vested interest in the story."
Ertel is president of Inform Inspire Involve (www.informinspireinvolve.com), a strategic communications company focusing on outcome-based communications for the government and nonprofit sector.

Michael Ertel, APR is an often-sought source of information on public relations. His expertise on public relations has been quoted in The New York Times, WallStreetJournal.com, PR Week, PR News, Marketing News, and other national and local outlets. His insights on how public relations can affect a nonprofit's bottom line are in the recently published book, Managing a Nonprofit, available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and other major booksellers.
Ertel, who has been in public relations for 11 years, has spoken at various venues, including as a speaker at a national PR News/PRSA conference on Nonprofit Public Relations, and as a featured speaker at the International Conference on Public Relations Measurement held in London.
He is a Central Florida native, attended the University of Maryland and has completed program work on community consensus building at Harvard Law School. Ertel is an active community member, serving as an appointee of Governor Jeb Bush on the Seminole County Housing Authority, where he is vice-chairman; serving on the board of directors for the Seminole County branches of Boys & Girls Clubs, as vice president of strategic planning for the Orlando Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and as a top-level sponsor of the Enzian Film Society.
