Internet marketer and eBay expert Terry Gibbs says of the challenge, Sure we could have just given the hospital some money, but we are marketing professionals, and can easily leverage a few thousand dollars of our money into a hundred grand. Lots of people want to learn about eBay, and if we are half as good as we think we are, we can easily sell 5,000 of the audio tape interviews."

   Marketing expert Joe Polish comments, When Terry first came to me with the idea of raising $100,000 dollars for the Childrens hospital by selling tapes about eBay, and giving the money to the hospital, I was skeptical. I figured we could easily do it, but I wanted to make the challenge more interesting by setting an arbitrary time line, determined by pulling the numbers 25-100 out of a hat. We pulled 77."
