Album Release Party Celebrates A Significant Milestone in Rock
Rhino announces "Chicago --The Box" The Philly entertainment community announces the Unofficial Album Release Party! A get together for fans and friends of the rock group Chicago, who will be assembling in the City of Brotherly Love for the band's first Philly concert in two years.
Philadelphia (PRWEB) June 14, 2003 -- Rumors have been circulating for months, and Chicago founder Walter Parazaider has been teasing concert goers for weeks, but the official announcement regarding Rhino's release plans for the 100 song CD collection came recently through Billboard.com
Rhino's planned release date of "Chicago: The Box" is July 15th, and corresponds with the metro Philly concert being held at Camden's Tweeter Center.
The local party will be held at The Hot Point in Philly's music district, the famed South Street. The party is co-sponsored by Tower Records, which will be stocking a wide range of Chicago material, including "The Box".
Since "The Box" release marks a milestone in Chicago's history, we expect a number of Philadelphia and New York based entertainers to attend as well.
"The Hot Point's" Chef Jeff, a legend in his own right, is currently planning a special menu, which will include Philly's version of the famed "Demon Dog." Demon Dogs is the Windy City landmark that serves as Chicago's official museum and home to the group's longtime friend and manager, Peter Schiaverelli.
"The Hot Point" (formerly Liquid Blue) is located just off South Street on 6th. The area is the birthplace of "Doo Wop", the original acapello boy band music. There will be plenty of food, drink and entertainment, and special discounts for CTA Fan Club members.
DJ Mike of "The Hot Point" has asked that those planning to attend confirm by emailing americasband2003@aol.com. We expect a SRO crowd, so please RSVP as soon as you can. On concert day, park at the Tweeter Center, and take our special "The Box" shuttle directly to "The Hot Point's" front door.
Respond to Americasband2003@aol.com, then please print your email or fax confirmation and present it at the door for free admission. And Steve, we'll make sure you're on OUR list
