Race To Save The Rainforest - The Board game!
The exciting, new board game all about the world's tropical rainforests and what you can do to save them. A great family game for ages 8 to adult.
Two Parrots Games, a South Florida based game company, brings you its first creation -- the Race To Save The Rainforest" Board Game. Its the science and nature game that takes you on an adventure to save the worlds tropical rainforests!
I felt helpless about the destruction of the green spaces here in South Florida when I came up with the idea. It started out about saving trees and blossomed into saving the rainforests," said Jeannine Ross the creator and President of Two Parrots Games.
The game debuted with a live, on-air playing for the Miami based Richard Simmons radio show on WAXY 790 AM last year. Listeners were able to call in and win a game during the show. Since then games have been sold in New Zealand, Hawaii, Texas, Alaska, Florida and Conecticut.
Race To Save The Rainforest features six animals that have lost their homes to forest destruction and are seeking homes in the neighboring forest. Each player is represented on the board by both an animal and a logger. Players compete to be the first animal to reach the new forest before loggers cut it down by answering rainforest trivia questions, spinning the dial to save endangered species, avoiding poachers and plain old fate. It is for ages 8 to adult and contains a 3-D rainforest, plus 276 Q&A trivia questions in regular and advanced levels.
With the sale of each game, Two Parrots Games donates a portion of the profit to a rainforest charity. Weve been sponsors of Care2.coms race for the rainforest program, where each click on their website saves 28 square feet of rainforest through The Nature Conservancy," says Ross.
The game retails for $29.95.
