KUA Releases 2002 Annual Report
The report features a four-chapter narrative on the utility's core business of delivering efficient, reliable, affordable electric service to the residents of Osceola County, FL.
KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 12, 3:30 pm -- Kissimmee Utility Authority, Florida's sixth largest community-owned electric utility, today announced the release of its 2002 Annual Report. Copies have been distributed to local elected officials, utility employees, and members of the financial community, and are available to the public upon request.
The report -- titled "The Power of U" -- features a financial summary of 2002 as well as a four-chapter narrative on the utility's core business of delivering efficient, reliable, affordable electric service to the residents of Osceola County.
The report features interviews and photos of community leaders and area business owners. The report also features Florida's 2002 apprentice lineman of the year, KUA's Jamie Boswell. Boswell earned the title as well as two trophies and a $500 cash prize at the 2002 Florida Lineman's Rodeo.
Audited financial statements in the report show increased customer growth in 2002 of 3.3 percent. Energy sales grew by 1.9 percent.
