New Business Solves the "What's for Dinner?" Problem

This PR describes my new business and how a personal chef service can help busy people who neither have the time or inclination to plan, shop for, and prepare healthful dinners.

What do you do about dinner if you often have to work late? Pick up a pizza? Order out Chinese? Pick up an overcooked chicken at a "family" carry-out restaurant? Lean Cuisine?

Wouldn't it be great if you could have classy, delicious, well-balanced meals waiting for you when you get home?

It is possible-and affordable-if you have Chef Roger Greene, owner of Dinner Is Solved! Personal Chef Service, and a restaurant, hotel, and corporate chef for nearly twenty years, prepare dinners for you.

How does it work? Chef Greene consults with you about menus you would enjoy. Then on a scheduled cookday he shops for all the ingredients and prepares two weeks' worth of dinners for you and your family in your own kitchen using his equipment, all in one day, before you come home. The food is then labeled and stored in your refrigerator and freezer for you to reheat according to Chef Greene's helpful included instructions.

What luscious entrees are Greene's most popular? Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Artichokes and Goat Cheese, Shrimp Scampi, Filet Medallions with Port Wine Mushroom Sauce, Cornish Hens with a Sweet Apricot and Citrus Glaze, and Seafood Crepes. You can even have fresh fish(on the first night). Greene can assemble Teriyaki Marinated Tuna Steaks or Orange Basil Marinated Swordfish and leave the fish marinating in your refrigerator so you can quickly put the finishing touches on them when you come home. Accompanying side dishes are often vegetables like Herb and Lemon Green Beans, Sesame Broccoli or starches like Potatoes Romanov, Cumin Scented Couscous with Sauteed Vegetables or Wild Mushroom Polenta.

If you have a favorite butcher or grocer, Greene can purchase items from them. If you have some beloved family recipes that are too time-consuming to prepare on a weeknight, Greene can make these for you. If you prefer organically grown ingredients, Greene will use them to prepare your meals.

The approximate cost for twenty dinners is between $300 to $400, depending on the cost of the ingredients and time involved in meal preparation. Greene provides the storage containers and always includes an elegant surprise-flowers, a specially selected wine, or a dessert. Of course, when the cooking is done, Greene cleans you kitchen counters and mops the floor, leaving your kitchen spotless and filled with delicious aromas.

Personal chefs are a relatively new but growing niche business, with their own professional organizations. Greene is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association(USPCA), which first developed the concept and requires its members to have active sanitation licenses, liability insurance, and to pass certifying tests. Greene received his chef training at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago and at the prestigious Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Although the personal chef service is typically used by busy two-career couples, it is also a wonderful present for a new mother just home from the hospital, or for someone recovering from surgery or for well-to-do elderly people who may no longer want to prepare their dinners themselves, and would rather stay home to dine. It is a perfect service for people who truly enjoy good, healthful food, but don't have the time to sit in a restaurant or begin to cook at the end of a long, busy workday.
