sponsorKIDS Charities Peace Journey Program offers kids (and adults) the opportunity to learn and experience other cultures first hand. Through the Peace Journey Summer Sponsorship Series companies who care about kids, global learning/education and culture can connect directly to existing and potential consumers who also endeavor to make a difference.

CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) June 14, 2003 -- sponsorKIDS Charities launched its inaugural Peace Journey Expedition and First Annual Summer Sponsorship Series Monday, June 9. Kennedy High School was the host site for the official C.L.I.M.B. for Kids Foundation/Peace Journey Send-off Rally, supported by sponsorKIDS Charities. Hundreds of Kennedy Students, well wishers and celebrity musicians filled the school auditorium for a one hour assembly to formally recognize and celebrate the 2003 Peace Journey Expedition Team. The team consisting of seven students from Kennedy, Roberto Clemente and Latin Schools joined three teachers/trip assistants as their impending three-week voyage and technology mission (building a computer lab) were highlighted and facts shared in an interactive format about their destination: Tanzania, Africa. Throughout the summer the Expedition Team will be celebrated in music, dance events, boat ride and a parade in Chicago. The Peace Journey Summer Sponsorship Series makes all of these events possible. Through imaginative, interactive, highly visible events consumers and companies can interact and positively benefit these and subsequent kids. The Kennedy assembly initiated the series with the premier of the Peace Journey Pop anthem All I Want is Peace", written and produced by Paris Delane, Jeff Grossberg and Jeannette Kravitz.

Students were the first to publicly hear the anthem as they were treated to a live performance by Paris Delane, Hyper Harp (Jeff Grossberg) & friends. To the delight of a very excited audience, the musicians also gave a brief impromptu jam session and were available afterwards to autograph complimentary Peace Journey All I Want is Peace" music cds. The 2003 Peace Journey Expedition Team personally thanked and acknowledged each student as they dispersed cds. Attendees were encouraged to maintain contact with the Expedition Team and vote on the best (Mt. Kilimanjaro) Summit flags submitted from participating schools throughout the expedition, by visiting www.peacejourney.com. The Expedition Team is presently seeking support to purchase expedition gear, computer equipment and acquire use of a Satellite Phone to ensure continuing stateside communication throughout their travels via internet.
