Peachtree Theater Company Brings Summer Theater Workshop to Ojai's Oak Grove School June 30th-July 25th

New, four-week workshop will take students ages 9-16 on a journey through a professional theater program.

For Ojais Oak Grove School, innovative programs are the standard fare, and the latest program offering, Peachtree Theater Companys Summer Theater Workshop, is no exception. The summer curriculum is designed to provide students with an intensive, exciting theater experience," says program creator and director Demitri Corbin.

Led by Corbin, a 20-year veteran theater actor, writer and producer with Oak Grove School Summer Program Director Diana Lopez, the workshop will provide a complete theater experience, as well as art, sports, dance, woodshop, digital arts and other summer camp activities.

Corbin sees the workshop as a valuable steppingstone for students interested in the theater arts, as well as a unique mentoring experience. The workshop includes voice, movement, speech, stage design, and playwriting," Corbin explains along with professional guidance that will allow students to explore and develop their creativity." The program will culminate in the performance of an original one-act play, Cardboard Fairy Tales" created and taught by playwright David VanMatre, and will be produced and performed by the workshop students.
