KEY Enterprise Solutions Announces Domino/JBoss Single Sign-On

JBoss/Domino Single Sign-On Provides Users with Seamless Experience for Web Sites Using Lotus Domino and Open Source J2EE Technologies (JBoss)

KEY Enterprise Solutions LLC Announces Domino/JBoss Single Sign-On

JBoss/Domino Single Sign-On Provides Users with Seamless Experience for Web Sites Using Lotus Domino and J2EE Technologies

Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 6, 2003 -- KEY Enterprise Solutions, LLC today announced Domino/JBoss Single Sign-On (SSO) for Lotus Domino 5.x/6.x and JBoss 3.x. Domino/JBoss SSO is the first commercially available Single Sign-On solution between Lotus Domino and a J2EE application server other than IBM Websphere. "With Domino/JBoss SSO, companies can develop web sites using the appropriate tool for each application while requiring users to log in only once for the entire web site: J2EE can be used for high-volume, transaction-oriented applications while Lotus Domino can be used for collaborative, highly-secure, workflow applications", said Ken Yee, President of KEY Enterprise Solutions.

JBoss is a leading edge, open source J2EE server that has many features that go beyond the J2EE specification, including JBoss.Net (web services) and Aspect Oriented Programming. It provides an ideal low-cost platform to produce J2EE applications on, and is the unit volume leader in deployed J2EE applications*. Best of breed web sites can be easily created with JBoss' robustness and Lotus Notes/Domino's rapid collaborative application development.

"Management of J2EE users/roles is done within the Domino infrastructure so that there is a very short learning curve to deploy Domino/JBoss applications for administrators familiar with Lotus Notes/Domino. There is no need to maintain a duplicate set of usernames and roles in a separate database or set of XML files as required with other J2EE servers. Pricing is far less than a comparable solution using IBM Websphere Advanced.", said Ken Yee.

Early adopter Fred So of Sometrix Pty said: "Domino/JBoss SSO allows us to centralise all user management within Domino, and access the transactional power provided by JBoss, with an infrastrusture that does not require 10Gb of memory."

Peter Gloor of Notes Development AG said: "I was surprised how simple and easy it can be to implement security with true J2EE complient authentication and authorization services using Domino as single point for user registration and administration.
In a test scenario I was able to replace our existing solution of a not fully J2EE compliant SSO solution in a web application by Domino/JBoss SSO within less than one day. Compared to the existing solution the Domino/JBoss SSO solution provides far more flexibilty and is easier to maintain."

Domino/JBoss SSO is available for purchase from KEY Enterprise Solutions. More details and pricing can be found at http://www.keysolutions.com/JBoss
