Nude in New York - A One-Woman Show Written and Performed by Rising Star Jonisha Rios Back in Los Angeles at the ACME Comedy Theater this Summer by Popular Demand

After sold-out winter performances at the Flight Theater, Jonisha Rios Nude in New York is back in Los Angeles starting Wednesday, July 9th , at the ACME Comedy Theatre (135 N. La Brea Ave).

Energetic with wit and sharp direction" (LA weekly), Nude in New York is a raw and inspirational tale that takes you on a comedic roller coaster ride into the life of a young Latina woman who discovers that the secret to happiness is hidden in her aunts cup of coffee.

Rising star Jonisha Rios received the 2001 Bronx Council of the Arts award for Best Actress" and has performed her show to sold-out audiences at the Nuyorican Poets Café (NY), the Producers Club (NY), PSNBC at the HERE Theater (NY), the Duplex Theatre (NY), the Bronx Academy of Art and Dance (NY), The Improv Olympic (LA), and the Flight Theatre (LA).

A graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Jonisha has written three plays and has starred in independent films making their debuts in the film festival circuit. She played leading characters in three TV pilots, and wrote, starred and co-produced her own sketch comedy TV show.

Nude in New York will be at the ACME Comedy Theatre (135 N. La Brea / corner of Beverly Blvd.) Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM from July 9th through August 13th (running time is 1 hour, 15 minutes.).
