Spectacular Adventure, Intrigue, and Romance by Officer and Pilot

Many consider the fact that the US Air Force was established on July 1 a random bit of trivia. Captain Jacqueline G. Randolph, US Air Force, however, has made it the day she accomplishes another first: the release of her first suspense novel, Deceptions Guard. The fictional novel is replete with her adventures, travels and escapades.

Deceptions Guard is a tale of espionage and romance. Hero Rhys Wielde, CEO of a biotech firm, learns that his trusted employees are involved in dangerous drug trafficking, and hes -- no surprise -- appalled. Dismissing the perils and risks, he willing offers his services to the DEA. His civic-mindedness is richly rewarded when he meets a beautiful woman in Colorado who, unknown to him, is his bodyguard. Rhys is certain she feels the attraction too until, after being drugged, he awakens to be told that no such woman as Skye exists. When Rhys is again called upon to aid the DEA, this time in Lima, Peru, Skye reluctantly agrees to again act as his unrevealed bodyguard. This time, the stakes are higher, and Skye has to make a choice after escaping to Ecuador -- can they survive her need to guard his life and accomplish her mission, even it means continuing deception and betrayal?

The poignant and harrowing story of Skye Mathews and Rhys Wielde is one of strength and doubt, courage and fear, boldness and concealment, and hope and hopelessness. It is a story of the continuous messages we convey in our words, actions, thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. Their lives illustrate our need to give and receive, to make a difference in the world using what God has equipped each of us with.

Readers agree that this story is worth your time. The Romance Readers Connection calls it a fast-paced story that catches your attention...Fans of military and police suspense will be very satisfied." TheBestReviews.com says, You are emotionally drawn in and seduced to read this gripping tale of intrigue, espionage, deception, and romance."

Jacqueline G. Randolph, a pilot, skydiver, actress, fencer, former C-130 aircrew member, missile launch officer, professor of aerospace studies, and currently a GPS satellite operator, said writing Deceptions Guard in only four days was an incredible experience." She enjoyed conveying her own experiences in the Air Force and as a world traveler, pilot, and self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie."

Jacqueline G. Randolph, Deceptions Guard, $22.00, ISBN #1-58982-076-2.
