Sarasota, Florida 1/18/03 -- Task-Based Technologies, of Sarasota, has been awarded a proof of concept contract by FedEx Corp. of Memphis, Tenn. for a Mentoring Solution for their fleet of aircraft.
The Mentor, a Methodology created by Task-Based Technologies, will be custom designed to work with the automated systems already employed by FedEx. The Mentor will ultimately reduce the repair and maintenance cycle and drastically reduce training time.
The Mentor will be designed to work equally well on the entire fleet of aircraft, Boeing, Douglas, and Airbus. When asked why FedEx would undertake this project with Task-Based Technologies, Mr. Mike Peugh, Program Leader, Aircraft Line Maintenance said; We were impressed with Task-Based Technologies because of; the work they had done for the Military, their knowledge of different types of publishing software, and their flexibility in developing a tagging structure to mesh with our legacy systems."
The Design and development work on this project will be at the Task-Based facility in Sarasota, Fl. And will be tested and approved at the FedEx Headquarters in Memphis, Tenn. Work on this pilot project should be completed by June 2003.
